Powerful Prayer to Your Guardian Angel

Blessed are the eyes. (Luke 10:23)

The prophet Ezekiel had a vision of angels, describing it with vivid words appearing to be powerful creatures, bordering on frightening features and not the cute chubby ones that we know.

“Their entire bodies, including their backs, their hands and their wings, were completely full of eyes ...” Ezekiel 10:12

The vision of Ezekiel, quite strange, cannot be pondered in the human sense. Our faculties are unable to describe the process the heavenly wonders without the grace.

In Revelation 4:6-9, the Cherubim’s description magnified the holiness and the magnificence of God.

“Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: “‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,’ who was, and is, and is to come.”

Guardian angels are in our midst, alert at all times to our needs. I have established a relationship with mine after reading the stories about St. Padre Pio on his guardian angel.  As a family, we pray the Guardian Angel prayer and the 7 Glory Be's when we ride our car to our destination.  When my youngest was still in my womb up to this day, there was not a single day that I honored our guardian angels.  By God's grace, his childhood accidents were not even more than five and they were minor.

Our Guardian Angels have names but only God knows them. The Church discourages us to name them because it might not be divinely inspired. (Congregation of Divine Worship and the Sacraments, The Directory of Popular Piety, n. 217, 2001). But, stories of Saints and holy men and women have formed a relationship with their Guardian angels and their Guardian angels have revealed their names.

If you think with a heart of a child, you will enjoy the spiritual manifestations and enjoy the experience. The other choice is to remain calculating and analytical, standing outside various spiritual phenomenon and be in constant fear.
