Odors and tracks do not distract the good dog from its quarry; they embolden and enliven him. In the same way, by finding the Cross, the creche, the tomb - these traces and scents  of my Savior - I am all the more moved and drawn to this blessed quest: He pulls me along by the aroma of His anointing.
